Paula and I went downtown into Portland for some coffee and ran into the Portland Day of the Dead parade–who knew!? They had the hearses and a mummy drum corps. The video is the parade passing by. More pictures below!

Paula, her dad and I went to see the Oregon State Beavers play the Arizona Wildcats this weekend at Reser Stadium in Corvallis for their Pac-10 Football opener.  We were greeted by Oregon State’s Benny Beaver!

Here Come the Beavers!!!

This was my first trip to Reser Stadium.  Both Paula and her dad had been there before.  We were high up in Section 213, but they were still pretty good seats!

The Beavers had the momentum and we thought they had it together late in the fourth quarter for a march down the field.  An ill-timed interception all but crushed the momentum.  The Beavers managed to get the ball back, but then the Beavers QB was sacked in the endzone for a safety.  The Beavers managed to recover the onside kick, but the Wildcats managed to sack the Beavers QB on consecutive plays sealing the 37-32 win for the Wildcats and getting the Beavers off to a 0-1 conference start.  Here’s a link if you want the game details (sorry, nobody is manning the JkbWorld Sports Desk!)

Anyway, it was a pretty good time!  Hope you enjoyed the pics!

We ran into our arch-nemesis, Rob964, (Team Monster Skellington, aka Team Tiny Little Dog–seriously, you should see the size of that dog!) on top of the Motosport.com Trailer.  TTB managed to barely cling to our overall lead, but Skellington got more points this round, again!

Paula and I got to watch the race from the track, which is much more exciting than watching it on TV, I might add!  Jarrod42 snapped this picture.  He did a great job getting the Motosport.com trailer and water, coozy and tattoo giveaway event organized, and it was a big hit with the Motocross fans, too!
