For those who don’t know, we fed our cats “high quality” dry food and canned food for years, and thought we were doing right by them. They have had numerous health problems over the years, and when Dakota was diagnosed diabetic last year, I did some major research. I found that many people with diabetic cats, had switched to an all-natural raw diet, and were having great success with it. So I immediately switched, and within a week, the change was noticeable. Dakota had more energy most certainly, as did the other 2. When I brought him back to the vet, for his first insulin shot, it was found that his levels had stabilized, and he didn’t need it. The only thing we had changed was the food. They have all lost weight (a good thing for them!) they are all spunkier than they have been in years. And they are all as soft as minks, with no dandruff, and they are just incredibly glossy. I was skeptical, but wanted to try something else before insulin, and now I’m a total convert, they seem to like it better too. And honestly, we’re spending way less per month than we were buying them the premium dry food.

Jasper and Tuxedo Recreating the Lava Cast Forest

Some of you may remember, Paula and I went out to Bend and visited the Lava Cast Forest. Jasper and Tuxedo didn’t get to come along, but they created their own version of the Lava CAT forest, by creating deep cat casts  on the bed!  If you don’t know what the heck I’m talking about, check out our link.

It’s only a few minutes after “lockout”, but Tuxedo already wants to know if this week’s MotoXdream TeamTuxedoBurrito Motocross race team has won at Red Bud yet.

As many of you know, Tuxedo is a co-captain of the Motosport Motoxdream.com race team.  For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s an online fantasy sports program run by Motosport where you choose your favorite Motocross racers and get points for where they place during different Motocross races through the season.  For most people, if you win, you can win one of the champions’ dirt bikes at the end of the season.  Unfortunately, for me and Tuxedo, I can’t win it because I work for Motosport, and Tuxedo’s legs aren’t long enough to reach the pegs.  However, TeamTuxedoBurrito does OK, and we enjoy gloating when we get more points than some of the former and semi-pro Motocross riders at Motosport.  We also occasionally blog about the races on Motospace.
